Vegas Baby!

I had a work conference in Vegas at the end of June. Jarred accompanied me for a "fun" trip before we added another member to our family. It was hard to leave Ryleigh for a week, but she was in good hands with MiMi/Papaw and Bear/Enne. It was nice to have time with just Jarred...awfully quiet without a 2 year old around! Jarred got to have fun during the day while I was in my conference.

As part of my conference, we had a private event at the Aria where Mosaic and Natasha Beddingfield performed. It was pretty cool!

Jarred and I had a fun evening out one night during the week. We went to eat at an Italisn restaurant that Jarred had found in the hotel connected to ours, the Palazzo. If you ate at the restaurant you had a free pass into their exotic car museum, the REAL reason we ate there! :) They had 2 Aston Martins...Jarred's dream car!




We then headed down to the Penn & Teller magic show at the Rio. Jarred loves magic and was wanting to see a magician in Vegas. These two were great and very humorous! At one point in the show Teller sat right beside me and my heart started racing thinking WHAT is he about to do. All he did was hand me a book to look through and pass along. I quickly passed it to Jarred! :) If Jarred would have hung on to the book a little longer, he would have made it on stage. He had another opportunity to get on stage as they were asking for anyone post-certified and who knew a lot about guns in the audience. Since he didn't know what they were going to have him do, he didn't raise his hand too high and didn't want to be embarassed on stage with something he didn't know! :)

Our final afternoon in Vegas was spent taking in a few final sites. I could sit and look at the Bellagio and fountains all day! We also went through the wax museum, which was a lot of fun posing with the celebs!

Swimming!

Ryleigh had no problems this year jumping right on in Bear & Enne's pool. We bought a puddle jumper so we wouldn't have to hold on to her as much...it has been a "lifesaver". :) Ryleigh is still learning how to swim, has had several days where she didn't wear her floaties, is getting used to putting part of her head under the water, and will be a little fish before we know it! Unfortunately the pool is already starting to get cooler because of the time of year and how the sun hits their pool. So we will only have another week or so of swimming before it is too cool to get in!

Zoo - Memorial Day

Memorial Day we headed over to the Tyler Zoo with Ryleigh's friend Isabel...they are like two peas in a pod. Isabel and Ryleigh are in the same Sunday school class, were in Mother's Day Out together and are only 10 days apart, so they play so well together! Plus Aaron and Shannon are in our Sunday school class! :)
We got there pretty early so it wouldn't be so hot and finished right in time for lunch! Shannon was a trooper being 9 months pregnant!
