Army Crawling

This past weekend Ryleigh started army crawling! If something is out of reach, she is heading towards it! Jarred had her doing circles around him! She has been getting up on all fours for about a week now, but she would always slide back down on her tummy. Guess she is getting the hang of it because she can get to where she wants to go!

Swimsuit Season

Although still a couple of months away, Ryleigh already has her bathing suit and is getting ready for swimming season. Memaw bought Ryleigh this bathing suit and hat...which is just sooo cute on her. I hope it still fits come May and time to swim at Bear & Boo's!

Sitting Up

Ryleigh is getting good at sitting up. She can sit up for long periods at a time and she will catch herself if she gets off balance.

Ryleigh and Her Sleep Habits

Ryleigh loves to sleep with her knees pulled up...don't see how it is very comfortable. She also sucks on the same two fingers, plus she SNORES! She was snoring so loud the other night that her monitor picked it up and it woke me up...she must get that from her daddy! :-)

Mmmm...Green Beans!!

Well, Ryleigh had her first taste of green beans last night. She was more interested in the plastic bib she had on than the green beans! She wasn't so sure as to what the different taste was, but got used to it after a few bites. She ate more than expected, and today ate even more. So she is getting used to the different taste. I'm anxious to try other veggies and then onto the fruits in a few weeks!

Travelin' Ryleigh

Ryleigh is one travelin' soul in her crib especially now that she's moving and scooting around a lot more. She goes from one end to the other, turns around and ends up sideways like we found her the other morning...

Sitting Up....(sort of)

We have really been working with Ryleigh on sitting up. She can sit up for a few seconds usually before plopping over if she is not sitting still. She must be taking after her daddy who took forever to sit up! haha

Rice Cereal...Spoon Style

At Ryleigh's Dr's appointment today, the Dr. said for us to start giving Ryleigh rice cereal by spoon. She has already had rice cereal in her bottle for a couple of months now, but since we are introducing solids, we are giving her practice with the rice cereal for the spoon and texture. We will probably start veggies on Monday or Tuesday...video on that to come! :) She did really good the 2 times I spoon fed her the rice cereal today.



Must have been good! These same 2 fingers always end up in her mouth!

6 Months Old!!!

Ryleigh was 6 months old yesterday!!! Time flies when you have a child! It is hard to believe our little girl is growing so fast! We took her to her 6 month Dr's appointment today. She was 17 pounds 9 ounces, 26 1/2 inches long and her head was 17 1/2. She is in the 75th percentile for her height and weight and in the 95th percentile for her head size. Needless to say, she had a good report today. She didn't like the shots too much and we think her little legs were bothering her this evening. Poor thing got 2 in her left leg and 1 in her right...she did good after the nurse gave her the shots. She only cried for a few minutes after Jarred picked her up. By the way, I won the bet with Jarred on Ryleigh's weight...I guessed 17 lbs 8 oz and he guessed 18 pounds...ha!

Cute Girl Clothes

I got in trouble today when I found Ryleigh some cute spring clothes! I just had to try them on her when I got home. All of the cute girl clothes are just too hard to resist! :)

Daddy & His Girl

We have been enjoying the warmer weather, getting outside in the evenings when we get home from work. I have especially liked not having to put long pants and long sleeves on Ryleigh and showing off her "Michelin" body, cute hands and chubby feet. I managed to get a couple of pictures of Jarred and Ryleigh (after I twisted his arm!).
