Lately

We've been enjoying the summer, spending most of our weekends at the pool! I got a new camera, so I've been trying to learn more about it and take more pictures. Here a some pictures from the last few weeks.

Ryleigh's New Ride

Our nice neighbors gave Ryleigh this new ride. She loves her "Jeep" and can press the pedal quite well. She hasn't mastered turning just yet! :)

Books, Books and More Books

Ryleigh LOVES books! I must have read Goodnight Moon about 6 times in a row the other night. She loves Jarred to read her the same ones every night. And it's amazing that she can pick out those 3 books out of the billions she has! She always grabs her Mickey book, The Spooky Old Tree and Oh the Thinks You Can Think. One page in The Spooky Old Tree, a crocodile jumps up and takes a bite out of the stairs. Jarred taught Ryleigh to make sounds to go along with this page...

Days of Summer

Since Memorial Day we have been soaking up the sun and enjoying the pool at Jarred's parents house. Ryleigh gets to enjoy it during the week some, but we all get to join the fun on the weekends! Ryleigh is getting used to the water and she'll be swimming before we know it! :)

Norton Pictures

We finally have both sets of Norton pics back! Over half of our first session pics were lost, so we had to take another session. Of course Ryleigh was not as cooperative the second time around. At least he got a few good shots!

The Things that Entertain Us

Afternoon at the Park

Ryleigh and I had an afternoon together with Emma and Whitney last week. We ate a good dinner at Newk's (our fav!) and then let the girls play at the duck pond park. They had a lot of fun and it was good to get them together to play!

New Best Friend

The Cram Family has a new best friend and member of the family...meet Emily!



Jarred and I had been talking about getting a dog for the last few weeks. We thought about adopting one, so we went to the pound and have been looking at Pet Savers. We called our vet to ask some questions and Jarred asked if they had any dogs they knew of that needed a home. They had 3 dogs, so we went up there to look at them. The first was a little too hyper for Ryleigh. The second was just perfect...



Emily is a 5 1/2 year old Irish Setter mix. She was being boarded at our vet because her owner is in hospice. Emily had been boarded for 73 days! Her owner was sending her to the pound if she would not have been adopted in the next few days. Emily is as sweet as can be and we knew in the first five minutes of being around her that she was the dog for us! She has never jumped up on Ryleigh...she just loves to give her kisses. Ryleigh just LOVES Emily. She is so excited to see her and play outside with her in the evenings. The cat...not so much. Ellie has ruled the roof for 3 years now that we have been in our house. We'll get there!
